Ecological Information

Isover insulation products are made from glass mineral wool, one of the most environmentally friendly insulants available.

Sustainable

Isover insulation products are made from pure silica sand, the earth’s most abundantly occurring mineral and a sustainable, infinite source.

Recyclable

Approximately 50% of the raw material used in the production of Isover products is recycled.
The recycled material can be post-consumer glass (from housing) or waste glass for flat glass manufacture, which would otherwise go to landfill.

Environmental

The manufacturing process doesn’t use or contain CFS's or any other damaging gases. In addition the unique compression packaging means more insulation in a smaller space - the result is better vehicle utilization, reducing the environmental impact of transportation.

Physical Dimensions

Packaging

The rolls are compression packed in individual packs using strong pink polythene packaging.
The rolls will recover fully within 24 hours to its original thickness

Tools needed for installation

  • A wood saw.
  • A tape measure.
  • A balancing plank (to prevent ceiling damage).

Installation Instructions

  • Measure the distance between the timber roof trusses.
  • Cut the Aerolite while still in the bag to the correct width to snugly fit the space between the roof trusses.
  • Roll out the Aerolite firmly between the roof trusses on top of the ceiling.
  • It is advisable to lay the Aerolite underneath any wiring and to cut around any down lights to allow heat to escape.
  • Wrap off cuts around pipes to prevent them freezing in winter.

Recommendation: to wrap geyser for further energy savings.
Warning: Be careful not to step on to the ceiling board as you may damage or fall through the ceiling.

Handling & Storage

Store in dry conditions & undercover.
Store flat.
Handle with care, especially on the edges and corners, which can be damaged if subject to sharp impact.
